Current site conditions
Orthomosaics, LiDAR or photogrammetric 3D surfaces and topographic mapping to an agreed coordinate and vertical reference.

Landfills & Waste Management
Changing surfaces make yesterday’s site records hard to rely on. Give operators, waste management companies, municipalities and consultants current, comparable information for airspace estimates, cell progress and material planning.
Geospatial acquisition is available today. The scope begins with the surface you need to measure, the decision it supports and the professionals responsible for it.
Representative industrial terrain/stockpile context, not an Elev8 landfill project.
Available today · Geospatial acquisition
Orthomosaics, LiDAR or photogrammetric 3D surfaces and topographic mapping to an agreed coordinate and vertical reference.
Compare the observed surface with supplied design or baseline surfaces, where permitted, to estimate geometric space within agreed boundaries and assumptions.
Track fill volumes, earthworks and cut/fill, cover material and stockpiles. Recurring records show how comparable surfaces change over time.
Document visible drainage, slope and erosion conditions, capping and rehabilitation progress for the qualified technical team’s review—not environmental compliance certification.
An airspace calculation describes space between defined surfaces. It does not establish engineering-certified remaining permitted capacity, permitted filling limits or licence approvals. Compaction, settlement, cover allowances and operational constraints require separate assessment.
Volume in cubic metres is not actual waste mass or tonnage. Any conversion needs appropriate supporting density and site records. Elev8 is not an Ontario Land Surveyor or a professional engineering firm; licensed engineers and surveyors retain regulated judgement and signed or sealed outputs.
No capacity, accuracy or engineering-certified outcome is guaranteed.
Agree on cell boundaries, design/baseline surfaces, dates, required outputs and the horizontal and vertical reference.
Select LiDAR or photogrammetry and suitable RTK/GNSS, control or checkpoints for the mission. Review coverage, surface definition and acquisition QA against the agreed requirement.
Use comparable surfaces and time windows. Record exclusions, uncertainties and assumptions so the responsible team can review the result.
Accuracy requirements are project-specific, not a blanket specification. Active operations, weather, access restrictions, obscured surfaces and safe flight conditions can constrain acquisition. No facility is presumed safe or authorized to fly.
Independent geospatial validation
Review conflicting contractor, engineering-team or provider deliverables before commissioning another full capture. Vertical datum and control, base-surface assumptions, boundaries and historical dates can explain differences; changed site conditions or inventory records may also matter.
Compare methods and source evidence, quantify differences where the inputs support it, and scope targeted recapture only when needed. A cause or reconciliation result is not guaranteed.

Conventional repeat capture is available today. Assess a higher-frequency remote model only where the information need, site permissions, aircraft eligibility, communications, privacy and economics support a pilot.
No installed unattended dock, blanket BVLOS permission or approved autonomous deployment is implied. Missions and review remain human-authorized, with hold or stop decisions when conditions are unsuitable.
Explore autonomous feasibilityStart with a non-sensitive summary. Agree on authorized transfer and handling before sharing confidential site or third-party datasets.
Scope the requirement
Tell us what has changed, which quantities need to be compared and who will use the results. We review the acquisition requirement before recommending a method.
