01
Important scope
About these terms
These terms apply to use of the Elev8 Visions website and its publicly accessible features, including:
- This website and its public pages
- Assess a Project
- Public case studies and project examples
- Website forms and inquiry submissions
- Publicly accessible project viewers or links provided through the website
They do not govern signed proposals, master service agreements, statements of work, non-disclosure agreements, purchase orders or other client contracts, where a separate written agreement applies.
Where a signed agreement with Elev8 conflicts with these website terms in relation to a specific project, the signed agreement governs that project to the extent of the conflict.
Acceptance
By using this website, you agree to these terms. Using the website does not, by itself, create a client relationship, a professional engagement, a contract for services, a regulatory approval or a confidentiality agreement. Submitting an inquiry also does not automatically create a project engagement.
What Elev8 Visions does
Elev8 Visions provides specialized RPAS and geospatial field-acquisition services for infrastructure, industrial, mining, corridor and related projects. Depending on the project, this may include:
- RPAS data acquisition and RGB imagery
- Reality capture and photogrammetry
- LiDAR and point-cloud acquisition
- Thermal acquisition
- SLAM / GPS-denied acquisition
- Remote-field acquisition and repeat monitoring data
- Inspection-support documentation
- Geospatial datasets and agreed processing, organization and visualization
- Complex RPAS mission planning and feasibility support
Services and deliverables are project-specific and subject to technical, operational and regulatory feasibility. Not every capability described on this website applies to every project.
02
Field acquisition is not the same as professional certification
Elev8 Visions is not an Ontario Land Surveyor
Elev8 does not represent itself as providing cadastral or legal surveying, does not determine legal property boundaries and does not issue cadastral survey products. Where regulated land-surveying services are required, those services remain the responsibility of an appropriately licensed Ontario Land Surveyor or other applicable qualified professional.
Elev8 Visions is not a professional engineering firm
Elev8 does not represent itself as providing regulated professional engineering services, and does not provide signed or sealed engineering design, certification or professional engineering opinions unless such services are separately provided by an appropriately authorized professional organization under a specific agreement.
Elev8 may acquire data to specifications established by engineering, geomatics, surveying or other professional teams. Those professionals retain responsibility for regulated professional judgement, interpretation and certification.
This distinction does not limit Elev8’s ability to support professional work. Elev8 may perform field acquisition, data organization, agreed processing and technical support that contributes to a professional workflow. Responsibility for regulated professional services remains with the appropriately qualified professional.

03
Project-specific limitations
Geospatial data and accuracy
Positional accuracy is not a fixed property of a service. It depends on the acquisition method, control, GNSS conditions, sensor, processing, environment, flight geometry, project specifications and the downstream workflow the data enters. Descriptions on this website are general and are not universal accuracy guarantees.
Any project-specific accuracy requirement must be agreed in writing before acquisition and validated using the control and quality methodology appropriate to that project.
Data displayed through online viewers may be optimized, compressed or visualized for review and should not automatically be treated as the authoritative project deliverable.
LiDAR, SLAM and reality capture
LiDAR, SLAM and photogrammetric acquisition have environmental limitations. Datasets may contain occlusions or positioning uncertainty and depend on line of sight, acquisition geometry and control. These methods do not automatically create legally surveyed or professionally certified results.
GPS-denied positioning is estimated through the applicable SLAM workflow and may accumulate drift or other uncertainty depending on the environment and acquisition geometry.
Thermal
Thermal imagery and radiometric data may support condition review and anomaly documentation but do not, by themselves, constitute a certified electrical, mechanical, structural or engineering diagnosis. Thermal interpretation depends on environmental conditions, emissivity, equipment state, loading, distance, sensor and acquisition method. Nothing on this website should be read as a guarantee that every defect or failure mode will be identified.
Documentation does not replace professional inspection where one is required
Elev8 may provide visual records, thermal records, 3D records, repeat capture, inspection-support imagery and remote observation.
The presence or absence of a visible condition in an Elev8 dataset should not be interpreted as a professional certification of asset condition unless expressly provided by the appropriately qualified professional under a separate engagement.
Complex RPAS, BVLOS and autonomy
Discussion on this website of Level 1 Complex operations, BVLOS, autonomous systems, dock-based operations or remote operations does not mean that every proposed mission is legally or operationally permitted. Feasibility depends on factors such as:
- Aircraft eligibility and safety assurance / declaration status
- Pilot qualifications and operator requirements
- Airspace, aerodromes and the operating site
- Population environment
- Detect-and-avoid requirements where applicable
- Communications and command-and-control
- Weather and site security
- Applicable Canadian Aviation Regulations and any required authorizations
A Remotely Piloted Operator Certificate is not blanket BVLOS authority, and Level 1 Complex operations are not universal BVLOS authority.
Each proposed operation must be assessed against the requirements applicable at the time of the mission.
No guarantee of regulatory approval
Elev8 may assist with feasibility, planning, documentation and regulatory pathway assessment. Elev8 cannot guarantee Transport Canada approval, NAV CANADA coordination outcomes, SFOC-RPAS issuance, aerodrome approval, landowner or client approval, third-party authorization, or the timing of any government decision.
Confined, underground and hazardous environments
Not every underground mine, tank, tunnel, vessel, chamber, confined space or hazardous environment is suitable for remote acquisition. Suitability can depend on hazardous atmosphere classification, intrinsic-safety requirements, site or mine requirements, combustible dust, methane, battery restrictions, ventilation, communications, physical access, recovery planning and emergency procedures.
Website descriptions of confined-space or underground acquisition do not constitute confirmation that a specific platform is approved or suitable for a specific hazardous environment.

04
Assess a Project — preliminary assessment, not a quote or professional opinion
Assess a Project collects information supplied by the visitor, may apply predefined scoring or rules, evaluates characteristics such as scale, recurrence, access and information requirement, and may recommend a next step.
The result is preliminary only. It is not:
- A binding quotation
- A regulatory approval or flight authorization
- An engineering, legal or professional opinion
- A survey certification
- A guarantee of return on investment or savings
- Confirmation that Elev8 will accept the project
Project-fit results depend on the accuracy and completeness of information submitted by the user.
Cost, burden and business-case information
Any cost comparison, burden range, ROI discussion, current-process estimate or economic assessment shown on this website is preliminary unless incorporated into a signed project agreement. Where a calculation uses figures you enter, those figures are user-provided assumptions, and illustrative economics are not guaranteed savings.
05
Website terms
Website information
Elev8 works to keep website information current and accurate. Technology, equipment availability, regulations, vendor specifications and operating requirements change over time. Website content is general informational content and is not a substitute for project-specific review.
Equipment and technology
References on this website to aircraft, LiDAR sensors, docks, SLAM equipment, thermal equipment, robotic platforms or other technology do not necessarily mean Elev8 owns that equipment.
Depending on project requirements, Elev8 may deploy owned, rented, subcontracted, partner-supplied or client-supplied equipment where appropriate.
Equipment availability is subject to confirmation for each project.
Case studies and project examples
Project examples are evidence, not universal promises. A case study reflects a particular site, conditions, equipment, scope and date, and results may not be reproducible on another project. Not every project produces every deliverable or the same accuracy outcome.
Where imagery or a diagram is labelled representative, illustrative or a technical demonstration, it must not be interpreted as an actual client project. A company or location shown on this website is not, by that fact alone, a client, partner or endorser.
Quotes and proposals
Website descriptions do not constitute binding offers. Price, schedule, scope, deliverables, accuracy requirements, equipment and regulatory assumptions are governed by the applicable proposal, statement of work or contract.
No client relationship from website use
Viewing this website, sending an email, completing Assess a Project, uploading a scope or receiving preliminary guidance does not, by itself, create a client engagement. A project engagement begins only when the applicable commercial arrangement is accepted — for example a signed proposal, an executed agreement, an accepted purchase order where applicable, or other written confirmation approved by Elev8.
Website availability
Elev8 does not guarantee uninterrupted website availability. Website functions may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, hosting, network conditions, software issues or third-party services.
Prohibited use
You must not use this website to:
- Violate applicable law
- Attempt unauthorized access or circumvent security controls
- Interfere with website operation or upload malicious code
- Impersonate another person or organization
- Submit material you do not have authority to provide
- Use automated systems to abuse forms or services
Changes to these terms
Elev8 may update these website terms as services, regulations, website functionality or business systems change. The current revision date is shown at the top of this page and below. Changes to these website terms do not rewrite the provisions of a signed client agreement.
06
Intellectual property
Website material owned by Elev8 may include written copy, graphics, brand elements, original diagrams, website design, original imagery and original project examples where Elev8 holds the relevant rights. Elev8 does not claim ownership of client data, third-party imagery, third-party software, manufacturer trademarks or externally licensed content.
You may view and use website material for normal informational and business purposes, including sharing links to public pages, ordinary browser use, and reasonable quotation subject to applicable law.
Wholesale copying, republication, resale, scraping for commercial republication and removal of copyright or trademark notices are not authorized.
07
User submissions and confidentiality
Material you submit
When you submit maps, project documents, specifications, images, KML/KMZ files or other project data, you confirm that you have the authority to provide those materials to Elev8.
You retain whatever ownership rights you hold in material you submit. You authorize Elev8 to access, review, process and use that material as reasonably necessary to assess your inquiry, communicate with you and provide requested services.
Confidential information
Website submission alone does not create a confidentiality agreement beyond Elev8’s applicable privacy obligations and ordinary handling practices.
Elev8 treats project information responsibly and may enter into a separate NDA or confidentiality agreement where the nature of the project requires one.
If information is highly confidential, security-sensitive, export-controlled or subject to special handling requirements, contact Elev8 before uploading it through this website.
This is particularly relevant for utility, pipeline, mining, rail and other critical infrastructure information.
08
Third parties
Third-party products and trademarks
Where this website references third-party manufacturers, platforms or products, those trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. Reference does not necessarily imply sponsorship, partnership or endorsement, and third-party products and platforms are governed by their own terms.
Third-party links and viewers
This website may link to external maps, dataset viewers and other services. Independent third-party websites have their own terms, privacy practices, availability and security, and Elev8 is not responsible for independent third-party content merely because it is linked. This does not limit Elev8’s responsibility for service providers processing information directly on its behalf.
09
Liability and legal terms
Warranties
Information published on this website is general in nature. No statement on this website creates a project warranty. Project warranties, if any, arise only from the applicable written agreement between Elev8 and the client.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, these terms may limit Elev8’s liability arising solely from use of this public website and the general information it contains. Liability in relation to a specific project is governed by the applicable signed agreement, and nothing on this page is intended to override the liability provisions of a signed client contract.
Governing law
These website terms are intended to be governed by the laws applicable in Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
10
Privacy
Personal information collected through this website is handled in accordance with Elev8’s Privacy Policy.
11
Contact
Questions about these terms, professional scope or the handling of project information can be sent to Elev8 through the project intake, which reaches Elev8 directly.
