Privacy Policy
How Elev8 Visions collects, uses, protects and manages personal information submitted through this website and related business interactions.

Privacy at a glance
- Elev8 Visions collects only the information reasonably needed to respond to inquiries, assess projects, deliver services and operate this website.
- Project and contact information may be used to evaluate whether Elev8's services are a suitable fit for the work you describe.
- Information may be handled by service providers that support the website, communications, data storage, analytics and business operations.
- You can contact Elev8 to request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you, or to raise a privacy concern.
This policy describes current practices in plain language. It is written with Canada’s federal private-sector privacy framework (PIPEDA) in mind and does not claim compliance with every provincial, territorial or international privacy law. Additional laws may apply depending on the individual, the jurisdiction or the nature of a project.
01
Who we are
Elev8 Visions provides specialized RPAS and geospatial data-acquisition services supporting infrastructure, engineering, geomatics, industrial and related projects. Elev8 Visions is responsible for the personal information under its control, including information handled on its behalf by service providers.
Questions about this policy, or about the personal information Elev8 holds, can be sent to the privacy contact listed in the Contact section below.
02
Information we may collect
Contact information
- Name
- Company or organization
- Job title or role
- Work email address
- Phone number
- Communication preferences
Project information
- Project location, coordinates or corridor extent
- Asset or site type
- Project description and stated operational problem
- Project size, scale and frequency
- Operational, access and environmental requirements
- Timing, project stage and requested deliverables
- Current workflow, constraints and cost or burden context
- Anything else submitted through the Assess a Project intake
Project information is not automatically personal information. Much of it describes assets, sites and operations rather than an identifiable individual. It may, however, be commercially sensitive or confidential, and Elev8 treats it accordingly. Where project information does identify an individual, it is handled as personal information under this policy.
Files and materials submitted
- Maps, site plans and drawings
- PDFs, scopes and technical specifications
- KML / KMZ and other geospatial files
- Photos and imagery
- Supporting project documents and links
Please upload only what is reasonably necessary for an assessment. Avoid submitting personal, confidential or regulated information unless it is genuinely required for the project, and tell Elev8 in advance if material is subject to special handling requirements.
Website and technical information
When you use this website, standard technical information is processed to serve pages and keep the site secure — this typically includes your IP address, browser and device type, the referring page and the pages you view. Elev8 also records first-party interaction events (for example, which page a project inquiry started from) as described under first-party attribution.
Draft answers you enter into the Assess a Project tool are also stored temporarily in your own browser so you can return to an unfinished assessment. That draft stays on your device until the assessment is submitted or you clear your browser storage.
Communication records
- Emails and project inquiries
- Correspondence about scopes, proposals and deliverables
- Notes of project discussions where appropriate
Elev8 does not currently accept payments or process transactions through this website. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any payment information is collected.
03
Assess a Project data
The Assess a Project tool collects structured information about a site, corridor, asset or operational problem, together with contact details for the person submitting it. That information may be used to:
- Evaluate whether the project is a fit for Elev8's acquisition capability
- Understand the stated operational problem
- Identify the relevant Elev8 services and acquisition approach
- Prioritize follow-up and prepare preliminary scope guidance
- Improve the intake process and understand aggregate demand patterns
Responses are evaluated against predefined project-fit criteria such as scale, access, recurrence, information value and operating requirements. This rules-based evaluation helps Elev8 prioritize inquiries and recommend an appropriate next step. It is an internal business prioritization aid only: it does not make legally significant decisions about anyone, it does not determine eligibility for any service, and every submission is reviewed by a person before Elev8 responds.
Fit results and internal priority indicators are stored with the submission in Elev8’s database and are not shown to other website visitors.
04
Why we use information
- To respond to inquiries and requests
- To assess whether a project is suitable for Elev8's services
- To communicate about requested services and prepare scopes, proposals or estimates
- To manage client relationships and project administration
- To deliver project data, files and results
- To maintain business, insurance and regulatory records
- To improve website usability and understand how inquiries reach Elev8
- To maintain website security and prevent spam, abuse and fraudulent submissions
- To meet legal, regulatory or contractual obligations
05
Consent and communications
Service and inquiry communication
When you submit a project assessment or a project note, Elev8 uses your contact details to respond to that request and to communicate about the work you asked about. This is the communication you would reasonably expect from submitting the form.
Marketing communication
Submitting a project assessment is not treated as consent to ongoing marketing. If Elev8 sends occasional updates or infrastructure-acquisition insights, that is based on a separate, optional opt-in presented at the point of collection. The opt-in is never pre-selected and is never required to submit an assessment. Where marketing consent is given, Elev8 records the consent status, the time it was given, the form it came from and the wording that was shown.
You can withdraw marketing consent at any time by contacting Elev8 or using the unsubscribe option in any message.
Commercial electronic messages (CASL)
Where Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation applies, Elev8 obtains the consent it requires, identifies itself in commercial electronic messages, provides an unsubscribe mechanism and honours unsubscribe requests.
07
First-party attribution
Elev8 may record, in connection with an inquiry:
- The page you first landed on and the referring page
- Campaign or source parameters present in the link you followed
- The page or call to action used to begin the assessment
This is used to understand how inquiries reach Elev8 and to improve the website. Project descriptions, uploaded files and contact details are not placed into analytics event data.
09
Third-party processing and data location
Service providers may process or store information in Canada or in other jurisdictions, depending on the systems used. Where information is processed outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which it is processed, including lawful access requests by courts or authorities in that jurisdiction.
Elev8 does not currently guarantee Canadian data residency for all systems. If you have data residency requirements for a specific project, raise them before submitting materials so they can be addressed contractually.
10
Project and infrastructure information
Project submissions may contain commercially or operationally sensitive information about infrastructure, sites and assets. Elev8 limits access to the people who reasonably require it for the project, uses it for the purpose it was submitted for, and does not publish client project material without permission.
Client-specific confidentiality obligations may also be governed by contract or a non-disclosure agreement, which will take precedence where more protective.
11
Security
Elev8 uses administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature and sensitivity of the information in its control. These include encrypted connections for information submitted through this website, access-controlled cloud storage for submitted files and records, restricted administrative access, and controls to limit automated abuse of public forms.
No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12
Privacy incidents
Elev8 maintains procedures to:
- Assess suspected privacy incidents
- Contain and investigate incidents
- Notify affected individuals where required
- Report qualifying breaches to the appropriate privacy authority where required
- Maintain the breach records required by law
13
Retention
Personal information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the identified purpose, legal requirements, contractual obligations and legitimate business recordkeeping.
In practice, retention differs by category: website inquiries and unsuccessful leads are kept for a limited business-development period; active client and project records, including delivered data and uploaded project files, are kept for the life of the engagement and any applicable record-keeping obligations; accounting records and marketing consent records are kept for the periods required by law. Information is deleted or de-identified when it is no longer needed.
14
Your rights
Access and correction
You may request:
- Access to the personal information Elev8 holds about you
- Correction of information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Information about how your personal information has been used or disclosed, where required
Requests may be subject to identity verification and applicable legal exceptions.
Withdrawing consent
You may withdraw consent where legally permitted, subject to legal obligations, contractual requirements and information that is needed to provide a service you have requested. Withdrawing consent may affect Elev8’s ability to provide certain services.
Children
This website and Elev8’s services are intended for business and professional users and are not directed to children.
15
Third-party links and viewers
This website links to external tools and platforms, including third-party 3D and dataset viewers used to present project results. External websites and platforms operate under their own privacy practices, and this policy does not govern independent third-party sites once you leave the Elev8 environment. This does not limit Elev8’s responsibility for service providers processing information on its behalf.
16
Privacy questions or concerns
Privacy questions, access requests and complaints can be directed to Elev8’s privacy contact through the project intake, which reaches Elev8 directly:
Elev8 will investigate privacy concerns and respond. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, where applicable.
17
Changes to this policy
Elev8 may update this policy as technology, website functionality, business operations or legal obligations change. Where a change materially affects how personal information is used, Elev8 will consider whether new consent is required before the change takes effect.
