Elev8 completed an existing-condition digital capture of the hospital site. The acquisition was designed to produce both a measurable top-down image and a three-dimensional record from the same flight.

What this project taught us.

Lesson 01

Two outputs, one mobilization

Planning the ortho and the 3D reconstruction together means overlap and altitude are set once, and the site only has to be flown once.

Lesson 02

The ortho is what non-technical reviewers read first

A measurable top-down image is immediately legible to people who will never rotate a 3D model.
